Akarua Arrowtown Autumn Festival

In autumn Arrowtown truly comes into its own, as the leaves on the trees turn dazzling gold, red and brown before dropping to the ground in preparation for winter. Running from the 21st to 25th April, there’s something for everyone, from the annual art and photography competitions to Pie, Pint & Pinot, an extremely congenial way to enjoy handmade pies, craft beer and local wine.

NZ Mountain Film Festival

Celebrating all there is to love about the snowy season. The 20th NZ Mountain Film Festival presents a wide range of films, guest speakers, and presentations from inspirational adventurers. From 30th June to 2nd July, the films tell stories of adventure sports, foreign cultures, remote travel and environmental issues. The three-day event in Queenstown is a celebration of adventurous sports and lifestyles presented for adventurers, film and book enthusiasts and armchair adventurers.
