1. Brew Year’s Eve 2023

 

Bored of the same countdown fireworks affair at Whairepo Lagoon? Ring in the New Year with Brewtown’s Brew Year’s Eve party! This year’s party is clad with star-studded performers, including The Feelers, Dragon, Hello Sailor and The Blueprint, who are sure to get you pumping to their music through the night. For fans of 90s and 2000s music, be sure to catch Try Songz, Fabolous, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Keri Hilson and Mario in action at one of the biggest music festivals in New Zealand!

3. Foo Fighters World Tour

4. Waitangi Day

5. Wellington Pasifika Festival

 

Held at Waitangi Park, the Wellington Pasifika Festival is the biggest festival celebrating the vibrant cultures of the South Pacific Islands. With a series of performances showcasing the different cultures of each nation, including Fiji, Cook Islands, Samoa and Tonga, it attracts over 15,000 visitors to the event annually. 6. NZ Fringe Festival

7. Blackcaps vs White Ferns

 

Cricket enthusiasts, get ready for New Zealand cricket’s next big game! Blackcaps and White Ferns will compete in their first T20 international at Wellington’s Sky Stadium on 21 Feb, followed by their first test match from 29 Feb – 4 Mar at Cello Basin Reserve.

8. Jim Beam Homegrown

9. cubaDupa


You can’t visit Wellington without experiencing CubaDupa, New Zealand’s largest outdoor arts and music festival. Held annually in March, this two-day festival boasts an amazing array of activities including music, art, parades, dance and body paint, bringing out Cuba street’s unique, quirky personality.


Each year, parade groups, street theatre performances, art installations and music stages paint Cuba Street with life, culture, and eclectic energy. With so much zest and action, CubaDupa is definitely the one festival visitors to Wellington shouldn’t miss!
